HR sheets & Plate

We are supplying a wide spectrum of Hot Rolled Plates. HR Plate is widely used for welding and construction of railroad tracks and also, this plate is ideal for manufacturing bicycle frames, automobile parts, pipes and numerous other commercial or residential use products. Made up of high-grade steel, this plate is capable of bearing temperature variations either too low or high. We deliver this plate in different dimensions, finishes and thicknesses. This HR Plate can easily deform in the desired shape and size owing to its good bending property.

 There are 3 types of Hot Rolled Steel Products
1. Hot Rolled Steel Coils (HR Coils) – These are high grade steel coils distinguished by their scaly grey finish, along with rounded and less defined corners that are used for industrial applications & are manufactured by rolling steel at a temperature above the natural recrystallization temperature of steel. Hot rolled steel coils are more flexible to be shaped and formed into different forms than the cold rolled sheets. They are used in machining, metalworking or applications that do not need extremely precise dimensions.
2. Hot Rolled Steel Plates (HR plates) – These are made from high quality rolling slabs, using specialised hot rolling process at high temperatures. Hot rolled sheets show greater form-ability and can be cut into any desired shape and size. They are used in a wide variety of industries, including automobile, construction, transport and many more.
3. Hot Rolled Steel Sheets (HR Sheets) – These are industrial grade flat steel sheets with a rectangular cross-section. They form a major source of raw material in the manufacturing and infrastructure segment thanks to its distinct mechanical properties, quality and versatility. Like all other hot rolled products, hot rolled sheets have got a rough texture with a slightly bluish-grey finish. Compared to the cold rolling process, hot rolling is easier to execute and is cheaper too. They are preferred in applications where set degrees of tolerances are not mandatory.

Calculation Of The Weight Of Steel Plates :

Weight =Width mm / 1000 X Length mm / 1000 X Thickness X 7.85

  1. e.g. Weight of Plate 1200 mm X 6300 mm in 12 mm is calculated as ; 1200/1000 X 6300/1000 X 12 X 7.85 = 712.15 Kg
